Calculate Adjacent Angles
How to use the addition of adjacent angle measures to solve problems using a symbol for the unknown angle measure?
Adjacent angles are two angles that share a common side and a common vertex but do not overlap.
When two angles add to 90° (right angle), we say that they are complementary angles.
When two angles add to 180° (straight angle), we say that they are supplementary angles.
Full angles measure exactly 360 degrees. They form a complete circle.
When two lines intersect, the vertically opposite angles are equal in measure. They are called vertical angles.
