However, there is a shortcut when converting a fraction with denominator of 9, 99, 999. If the denominator is 9, 99, or 999 then the converted decimal will be a repeating decimal. If the denominator is factor of 9, 99, or 999, you could change it to an equivalent fraction with a denominator of 9, 99, or 999 and then use this shortcut method.
