How to multiply a decimal by a power of 10?
To multiply a decimal by a power of 10, you can move the decimal point to the right by the number of zeros equal to the exponent in the power of 10.
For example:
To multiply 0.23 by 10, we move the decimal point one place to the right, which gives us 2.3
To multiply 0.5623 by 102, we move the decimal point two places to the right, which gives us 56.23
To multiply 0.87 by 103, we move the decimal point three places to the right, which gives us 870
In general, to multiply a decimal by 10n, where n is a positive integer, we move the decimal point n places to the right.
