Learning the “Pl” Consonant Blend
The “pl” blend is a consonant blend where the letters p and l come together. Both consonants retain their distinct sounds:
/p/ as in “pop,” and
/l/ as in “love.”
When blended, they create the sound /pl/, as in the word “plant.”
