Step 1: Subtract the fractions.
If the denominators of the fractions are different then we need to convert the fractions to equivalent fractions with a common denominator. Check here if you need to review how to do that.
Check that numerator of the first fraction is ≥ to the numerator of the second fraction.
Subtract the numerators while keeping the denominator the same.
Step 2: Subtract the whole numbers.
Step 3: Add the results from step 1 and step 2 to get the final answer.
