A rate is a comparison of two or more quantities with different units.
What is unit rate?
A unit rate is a rate where the second term (or the denominator) is 1. The unit rate is also called the unit ratio.
How to find a unit rate?
When given a rate, divide both the first term and the second term by the second term. The second term will then be equal to 1.
